Manage views is for people who build apps. It opens the Designer in a new tab. If you only use the list, you can ignore it.

The default view is a table, called Tabular. Each row is one record.

  • Click the record’s name in the first column, or anywhere in the row, to open the record page.
  • Click the pencil at the start of the row for Quick edit. A panel slides in from the right with the form. Change what you need and click Save. You see the pencil only if you may edit records.
  • Click a column title to sort by it. Click it again to reverse the order.
  • Drag a column’s edge to resize it, or drag its title to move it.

At the bottom, the table shows the range (“1–6 of 6”), a rows-per-page menu and page buttons.

Click Columns at the bottom left. Tick the columns you want to see. The same panel lets you choose compact or comfortable row spacing. Beezr keeps your choice for the next visit on the same computer.

Tick the box at the start of a row, or the box in the header to select the page. A bar replaces the search row:

  • the count, for example “3 selected”
  • Print labels, for modules that have barcode sheets
  • Delete, shown only if you may delete records
  • an X to clear the selection

Delete asks you to confirm. Check the count before you confirm.

On a list, when you are not typing in a box:

KeyWhat it does
/Jumps to Search with keyword
J or ↓Moves to the next row
K or ↑Moves to the previous row
XTicks or unticks the row
EnterOpens the row
EscClears the selection

A list with no records shows an empty message. If a search or filter caused it, the message has a clear button that removes them. If your module uses “load on list select”, the list shows Choose a list to see records with your saved lists. Pick one to load the records.

On a phone, the header is simpler and each record is a card. You still have search, Filter, More and New, and each card has edit, view and delete.

Check yourself

The title of a list reads "Contracts 2 of 6". What does it tell you?
Show the answer

A search or filter narrows the list, and 2 of the 6 records match. When the list is narrowed, the count shows the matches first, then the total.

Youssef clicks the pencil icon at the start of a row. What opens?
Show the answer

A quick edit panel on the right, over the list. The pencil is Quick edit. Clicking the record's name or the row opens the record page instead.
