How-to5 minPractitioner

Before you start

Multi-factor sign-in adds one step after the password: Beezr emails the person a verification code, and they type it in. People enter both their password and their verification code.

The Multi-Factor Authentication page with the Enable switch, drop-downs for code length, expiration and attempts, an email subject field and group tick boxes.
The switch turns multi-factor sign-in on. The line above shows its state.
OTP Code Length, OTP Expiration and Max Verification Attempts shape the code.
Email Subject Line and Apply MFA to User Groups finish the setup.
    Save Configuration applies your choices.
  1. Open Account settings › Users & Security and choose Multi-Factor Authentication.
  2. Switch on Enable Multi-Factor Authentication. The page reads MFA is enabled.
  3. Choose the OTP Code Length: 6 digits (recommended), 4 or 8.
  4. Choose OTP Expiration: 5 minutes (recommended), 3, 10 or 15.
  5. Choose Max Verification Attempts: 3 attempts (recommended), 5 or 10.
  6. Type an Email Subject Line, for example Your verification code.
  7. Under Apply MFA to User Groups, tick Super Administrators, Designer Space Users, or both.
  8. Click Save Configuration.

After they enter their password, a dialog asks for the code and shows their email in masked form. They type the six digits from the message. If a code expires or is lost, they can ask for a new one.

People get the setting the next time they sign in. Make sure each user’s email address is correct on the Users page, because the code goes there.
