A tour of App space

Screen guide5 minFoundation

Before you start

App spaceApp spaceThe user-facing side of Beezr where people open applications.Open glossary ↗ is where you do your daily work: open a list, read a record, approve a request. Every screen shares the same frame, so once you know it, you know where things are everywhere. This page walks through that frame.

The Contracts list in App space: the dark menu on the left, the top bar with the application name, Tasks and Reports, and the list with its buttons.
    Home opens your dashboard.
Each row in the menu opens a list of one kind of record.
The plus sign opens a form for a new record.
The application button names the app you are in and lets you switch.
Tasks and Reports sit in the top bar.
The bell shows notifications. The avatar opens your account menu.

The dark menu lists what you can open in the current applicationApplicationA named menu of modules (grouped into sections) that people open in App space.Open glossary ↗. It starts with Home. Below it, your administrator has grouped the modulesModuleA table of business data (for example Customers) with fields, forms, views and automation.Open glossary ↗, for example Contracting or Purchasing. Click a group name to fold or unfold it. Click a module to open its list of records.

A module may also open as a custom page inside App space instead of a list. Your administrator chooses that when building the app.

The plus sign on the right of a module row opens a new-record form. You see it only for modules where you may create records. The arrow button at the top of the menu folds it to a narrow strip, so the list gets more room.

You only see modules you are allowed to see. If a colleague has a module you do not, ask your administrator.

Click your avatar to see your name and email, Open Designer and Log Out. Click your name to open your profile, where you change your language or password. Open Designer is for people who build apps, and it opens in a new tab.

Some labels, such as Tasks and Reports, can be renamed for your workspace, so your screen may show different words.

New users see a Welcome to Beezr window with a Show me around button. It starts a short guided tour of the screen. If you skip it, nothing is lost: everything the tour shows is on this page.

If you leave Beezr idle for a while, a prompt asks Are you there? so your session does not stay open on an empty screen.

Home opens your dashboards. Use Your dashboards to pick one, or Find a dashboard to search. Cards load one at a time, so each card displays its result as it arrives.

On a narrow screen, Beezr switches to a phone layout automatically. The menu on the left becomes a drawer, and a bar at the bottom holds four buttons.

The drawer lists your applications, quick actions and the module groups, and has Open Designer and Log Out. Lists show as cards, and the record page has the tabs Details, Notes and Attachments along the bottom.
