Calculate an invoice balance from its amount and recorded payments with Smart ScriptSmart ScriptBeezr's scripting language (engine name Beezl) used in fields, rules, filters, workflow values and dashboards.Open glossary ↗. The script runs when the record is shown, so people do not type the calculated balance into the V3 form.

Can be selected for configured data view columns. Configure its display in the data view settings.

In Smart Script

getCurrentValue() has a String return type for every field type; an unset value can be null. Read the string value before using it in an expression.

Import and export

The output is calculated by a script. Import the source fields rather than relying on an imported computed value.

    Name the field

    Section titled “Name the field”

    Start the field name with an English letter. Use letters, digits, spaces and underscores.
