Set up the schedule view
Before you start
Set up the schedule view when records have dates people plan around: leave requests, deliveries, contract renewals. The records appear on a calendar, and people click an event to open the record. You need at least one date field.
Turn on the schedule
Section titled “Turn on the schedule”- Open Dataviews for the module and click the Schedule tab.
- Turn on Show the schedule. Its note says “Records on a calendar by date. People click an event to open the record.”
- Under Dates, choose Starts on. The list offers the module’s date fields.
- Next to Ends on, choose Same day to draw each event on its start date only, or Another date and pick the end date field.
- Under Event title, choose the field that names the event. A lookup shows the value’s name. A smart field runs its script.
- Click Save.
An event shows when its start date falls in the days on screen.
Colour the events
Section titled “Colour the events”Under Event colour, choose a mode.
| Mode | Result |
|---|---|
| None | Events use the calendar’s default colour |
| One colour | Every event gets the colour you pick |
| By value | Each value of a lookup you choose under Colour by gets its own colour. Values without one use the default |
| Script | A Smart Script returns a colour, such as '#2563eb' |
