Before you start

BeezrIQ turns the records in your modules into answers: what next quarter’s spend might be, which way a metric is moving, what drives a number. Each answer is an insightInsightA BeezrIQ analysis of module data.Open glossary ↗. You open BeezrIQ from the Designer’s left rail, under the add-ons. The rail shows it only if your workspace has the add-on.

The browser tab says BeezrIQ - Intelligent Analytics, and the page opens on a hero with three buttons and two counters.

The BeezrIQ home page: a hero with Create Your First Insight, Explore Possibilities and Explore with Buzz, then a grid of insight cards with a type badge, a run, edit and delete icon, a date and an Active or Inactive status.
Create Your First Insight opens the Insight Builder.
Explore Possibilities and Explore with Buzz suggest insights for your data.
Total Insights counts your insights. Active Models counts the active ones.
Each card has the insight’s type, name and description, the date it was created and Active or Inactive.
The play icon is Run Insight. The pencil is Edit. The bin is Delete.

Under Your Insights, every saved insight is a card. With none, the page shows Start Your Analytics Journey and the same three buttons.

  • Run Insight runs it on your data now and opens the Insight Report in a large window. The report has charts and a written summary.
  • Edit opens the insight in the Insight Builder.
  • Delete asks “Are you sure you want to delete ’…’?” Answer Yes or No.

If you don’t know what to ask, let Beezr suggest. Both buttons work on modules with numeric or date fields that hold data.

Explore Possibilities scans your modules and lists what it found: “Found N possible insights for your data”. Each card gives a question, the module, the number of records and a confidence level. Use the chips All, Forecast, Trend, Anomaly, Regression, Correlation, Patterns and Root Cause to narrow the list.

Each card has two buttons. Configure opens the Insight Builder with the settings filled in, so you can adjust and save. Run Now runs it at once and shows the report, without saving.

Explore with Buzz has two parts. The first is a box headed Ask Buzz for a specific insight. Type a question, for example Show me a spend forecast for the next 6 months, and click Ask. Buzz picks a type, runs it and opens the report. If it needs a different approach, it explains why and offers Suggested alternatives with Run This buttons.

The second part is “or browse Buzz suggestions below”, a set of ideas Buzz built from your data. It has the same chips and the same Configure and Run Now buttons. Regenerate asks for a fresh set, and Try Again appears when Buzz found nothing.

When a report came from a question you asked, it ends with “This insight was generated by Buzz. Save it to your insights list?” and Save This Insight. Click it to keep the run in your list.

Each type has its own needs. The Insight Builder lists them when you hover a type. In short:

TypeIt needs
ForecastA numeric field, a date field and at least 10 data points, 24 or more recommended
Trend AnalysisA numeric field, a date field and at least 6 data points, 12 or more for seasons
CorrelationTwo or more numeric fields, or two or more categorical fields, and at least 30 records
RegressionA numeric target, one or more numeric drivers and at least 5 rows
Root Cause AnalysisA baseline period, a comparison period, a target metric and one or more driver fields
What-If AnalysisA Regression insight already set up
Association RulesTwo or more categorical fields and at least 30 records

To work with Anomaly, use Explore Possibilities: configure or run one from its suggestions.

They are different tools. A BeezrIQ insight analyses many records and writes a report. An Insight field sits on a module and shows a visual for each record, such as progress, age, due date or a comparison. You add it with the Insight field button on the Fields page. Create an insight covers the BeezrIQ kind.
