Create a lookup list
Before you start
Create a lookup when a field should offer a fixed set of choices, such as the status of a contract: Draft, Active, Expired. A lookup keeps the choices consistent, so views can group and filter by them.
Create the lookup
Section titled “Create the lookup”- In the left rail, click Lookups.
- Click New lookup. A panel opens on the right.
- Under Start with, choose how to begin: An empty list, Paste values or A ready-made list.
- Type a Name, for example
Contract statuses. - If you chose Paste values, paste your list into Values. One value per line works, and so do commas.
- Click Create lookup.
Beezr shows Created “{name}” and opens the new lookup. If you started with an empty list, add values one at a time next. Type each one in Add a value and press Enter.
What can I call a lookup?
Section titled “What can I call a lookup?”A name:
- uses English letters, numbers and spaces
- is different from every other lookup name, in any capitals
- is something other than

Extra spaces are removed. If a name needs fixing, the panel tells you what to change.
Add a ready-made list
Section titled “Add a ready-made list”Choose A ready-made list, then pick one and click Add list. Beezr adds the lookup with all its values and a Template tag.
