Install a template

How-to4 minFoundation

Before you start

Install a template when a ready-made application is close to what you need, such as a vendor or request app. You get its modules and menu, and then change them to fit your business.

  1. In the left rail, click New application, then Start from a Template. The Templates Center opens.
  2. Read the cards. Each shows a picture, the template’s name and a short description.
  3. Click Show details on a card to open Template Information. It shows screenshots, which you can click to enlarge, and a longer description.
  4. Click Install on the card. A waiting dialog shows while Beezr installs.

Beezr then shows Success and “Template has been installed successfully”. The card now reads Already Installed and its button is greyed out.

Install from the card. Template Information is for reading about the template before you decide.

Open My applications in the left rail. The template’s application is there, with its modules in a menu. Open it in App space, or edit it in the App builder. Nothing in it is locked. It is yours to rename, regroup and extend.

Beezr shows Oops and the reason. Two messages you may meet:

  • “There seems to be some issues between this template and other configurations in your account. Please contact support to help you.” The template could not be matched to your workspace.
  • “Failed to install the selected template. This could be an issue with finding the source package, please contact support for assistance.”

In both cases, contact support from Help › Contact support. Tell them the template’s name.

Check yourself

A template card shows Already Installed and the Install button is greyed out. What does that mean?
Show the answer

An application from this template is already in your workspace. Beezr compares the template with the applications you have. If it finds the template's application, it marks the card Already Installed.

Where do you find a template's application after you install it?
Show the answer

Under My applications, like any other application. Installing creates an ordinary application and its modules in your workspace. You edit it the same way as one you built yourself.
