Build the org chart

How-to5 minPractitioner

Before you start

The org chart says which role reports to which. Beezr uses it to work out “my team” for Team records and for the Me and my team record rule. It is about record visibility, so draw it for that purpose.

The Org Chart page with the company name at the top, role boxes beneath it and a Save button at the top right.
The top box is your company.
Each box below is a role. A role sits under the role it reports to.
    Save stores the chart.
  1. Open Account settings › Users & Security and choose Organizational Chart.
  2. Right-click the box the new role reports to. For the first level, right-click the company box.
  3. Choose Add Role.
  4. In the Add Role dialog, pick the Role and click Add.
  5. Repeat for every role.
  6. Click Save.

Beezr shows “Operation successful.”

Each role appears once in the chart. Choose an unplaced role from the list.

Right-click the box and choose Remove Role, then click Save. Roles under it leave the chart with it.

A person who belongs to a role sees the records created by people in the roles beneath their own, when Team records is on in their profile. People at the top of a branch see the whole branch.
