Creating permission profiles

A permission profile defines what can this profile view, edit, create or delete. To better understand the concept in Beezr, imagine you have multiple levels of security like the following image:

With the Beezr permission manager, you can control the access right on each level. To create a new permission profile go to "Permission" and click "New Permission".

This is what the permission profile looks like:

  • Admin: Defines if this permission should have admin rights, this means having access to all data and access to the designer space.
  • Applications: Defines which applications this permission should have access to. Permission can have access to multiple applications [Level 1]. With each application you add, the corresponding modules are added automatically in the access matrix at the bottom.
  • Set Landing Application to: When the permission has access to multiple applications, which application should open when they log in?
  • View Subordinate Data: In case this is a manager's permission, you should check this to "Yes" for the manager to see their data and the data of all the roles below them in the org chart.
  • The access matrix:
    1. Define the access rights for each module [Level 2].
    2. Click on the fields icon and control which fields should be visible and which should be read only [Level 3].
    3. Click on the filters icon and add conditional rules on the data values.
